Over 7,000 Walkers!
Over $900,000 Raised!
Thanks for Walking!
Thanks to all of you, the 2010 Walk to Cure Diabetes was the most successful Walk in the Rocky Mountain Chapter’s history! On Sunday, September 12, over 7,000 Walkers joined us at Elitch Gardens and helped raise over $900,000 for research!
The weather was beautiful, the food was plentiful, the drinks were cold and the entertainment was exciting. Thank you to all who joined us, raised money, donated their time, volunteered or sponsored the event. It was a wonderful day!
We would like to thank our Corporate Chair, Mary White, and all of her HealthOne Walkers.
We also want to thank our sponsors, in-kind donors and media partners. Without their support, this Walk would have never happened. Please visit our Sponsor page for more information about our generous supporters.
Without our Volunteers, the Walk would have been pure chaos. Thank you to the over 300 people who volunteered on Walk Day and the day before. We are so grateful for your dedication! And thank you to the Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleaders for cheering for our Walkers along the Walk route.
The biggest thanks go out to our Family and Corporate Teams. Our Family Teams rallied around the cause once again this year and brought in over $450,000! Our Corporate Teams raised money for JDRF any way they could think of, including bake sales, chili cookoffs, raffles, sneaker sales and silent auctions, and raised over $100,000!
Congrats to our T-Shirt contest winners!
