Calling All Volunteers!
JDRF relies on hundreds of volunteers to meet its mission. These dedicated individuals, organizations and companies commit time, money, services and energy to our search for a cure - we couldn't do it without them!
We need your help!
There are dozens of ways you can make a difference.
- Help out at the office.
We have mailings to stuff, stamps to stick, photos to file, envelopes to seal, media calls to make, and a database to keep up-to-date!
- Work at an event.
Pass out t-shirts or help set up Walk sites. Be part of the team putting together the Silent Auction on Gala night. Each year JDRF needs a virtual army of volunteers to make our fabulous special events a success!
- Serve on a Committee.
Help develop the Chapter's communications strategy. Be a part of our Public Outreach Program. Serve on our Corporate Recruitment or Development Committees. Coordinate a Walk site. Help plan our Gala program. Solicit items for our event auctions. Our Committees give the Chapter its sparkle!
- Participate in our Government Relations Program.
Let your voice be heard! Sign up to be an Advocate and contact your elected representatives about diabetes-related policies. Hundreds of Advocates throughout the state write letters, send e-mails and faxes, and make phone calls to their Senators and Congresspeople whenever an issue of importance to diabetes or health-care policy surfaces in Washington.
- Donate Through Your Business.
Make a gift of your printing or design services. Contribute your photography skills. Use your public relations firm to help get press for a Chapter event. Donate a company product - or an item for our live and silent auctions (new items please!) Make your restaurant, golf course, or other facility available at no charge for JDRF events. Imagination!
