Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes

As the number of children diagnosed with diabetes steadily increases, schools are becoming more involved in educating their students about diabetes, as well as empowering them to make a difference by supporting research to find a cure.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's (JDRF) Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes program is a new and innovative way for you to help raise money to find a cure for diabetes! This is a wonderful opportunity to increase awareness of diabetes by educating those in the school system to include administration, teachers, staff, parents and children. It is also a great way to involve the children as well as instill drive, devotion and caring for others. In addition to all the wonderful benefits just mentioned, the Physical Education department of participating schools will receive 10 percent of the money raised.

For more information on how to get your school involved in hosting a school walk, please contact Jessica Armock, jarmock@jdrf.org.
